Terms of Service
Effective date: 21 April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Helm mobile application and the helmfit.com website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Helm ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.
2. Account Registration and Security
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms.
3. The Service
Helm is a fitness tracking application that allows you to log workouts, track runs with GPS, monitor nutrition, record body measurements, and track progress over time. The Service includes cloud synchronisation of your data across devices.
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Helm is free to download and use. A paid tier called Full Sail unlocks additional features (including advanced strength tools, advanced cardio tools, progress photos, barcode scanning, saved meals, workout templates, and micronutrient tracking). Subscriptions are offered as recurring plans; specific durations, pricing, and any free trial terms are shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
- On iOS -via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or through the App Store
- On Android -via Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Cancelling disables auto-renewal; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Free trials. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin at the stated price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchase of a subscription, where applicable.
Refunds. All payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests are handled according to their respective policies. We do not have direct access to payment records and cannot issue refunds ourselves, except where required by law.
Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription, we will notify you in advance. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
5. Health and Fitness Disclaimer
Helm is a fitness tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Features such as one-rep max estimates, race predictions, pace guidance, and nutritional tracking are informational tools only.
